My daughter is getting married and wants to create a monogram with her first name initial, her fiance’s last name initial, and his first name initial and use it on the invitation. Someone told her it is not proper to use the monogram before the wedding. There are so many invitations using a monogram.

I still have my ex-husband’s last name (it was easier to keep it). Everyone knows me by that last name. But I’m not sure how to do the invitations now that I’m getting remarried. I plan on dropping it after we’re married (duh). I just feel weird about having that last name on my wedding [...]
